So to summarize: new headlights, same side mirrors as every other car on the road and a new lower front fascia that looks like a Mercedes that no one will see because the M Sport edition will still be 99% of the sales - which has no change to the lower fascia.
I'll be at the auto show this Thursday. I'll let you all know how it looks in person. |

2 things this car needed for the lci (the heavy weight belt will hopefully b adressed in the next gen): proper steering and panel gaps. My grandfathers 15y old vw has better panel gaps than the 6er. In true bmw form Looks like none have been adressed. Carry on bmw. Still n1. Thats all that matters |

Did the front and/or rear bumpers change in the M Sport version? Front must have changed to accommodate the larger kidneys listed in the billet points above, no?

Sorry Red, the new MB front end was out before the new BMW 3/4. And I didn't suggest a "rip-off" in any case. All I said was "looked like". Zadjali's post further proves my point.
Besides, it's generally nonsense to believe any OEM rips-off any other's styling, especially when the cars come out in close proximity time-wise. The amount of time it takes to style, design, develop, tool, build and validate a new vehicle or even an LCI precludes this. While imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, it is typically frowned upon in the automotive industry as it can be construed as an admission of inferiority. However, sometimes when stylists move around, their themes move with them. |
