It is just tune related. I upgraded to stage 2's with billet wastegates, rattled as bad as ever. My rattle only ever started when I switched to G5iso on stock turbos even, I switched back to my old g4 board to experiment and it was perfect again. Installed new stage 2 turbos, still rattle like mad. Dropped JB4 in favor of full cobb control(going 100% e85) as soon as I was running cobb only not a bit of rattle to be heard. Sure stock turbos are absolutely prone to rattle issues, just saying the JB4 G5 ISO can take otherwise perfect non rattling turbos and make them sound like a mariachi band. I know I was not the only one this was happening to either.

Wow! a simple fix to tensioning issues! Here we are trying to squeeze hands to adjust the rod! Harder for right hand drive cars due to steering shaft. Thanks champ!

it seems the spring should accomplish the same thing. basically just removing the slop i read one of their diagnosis methods was to put a weight around the rod, but the tsb instructed that they remove it once a diagnosis was made. |

i will try this. what is the length of this spring. I had JB4 for 6 months and i was fine with minor rattle. When I put in VRSF downpipes i could hear my rattle full force. I love my DP's but i hate the rattle.
I have full rattlesnake N54 engine

Hi guys,
Yeah from the top of the engine bay. I removed the washer filler by unclipping it and moving to the side but its not really necessary. Its a 1minute job make sure the engine is cold or you will burn yourself. My rattle is gone for 90%. I think the 10% is from the front one. Its seems really hard to get to the front one. |
